As a senior who lives at home, you’ll have things that pop up around the house that you may need help with getting done. We have those Connections ready to go and we know who to call!

FREE Senior Movie Series

First Friday of each month. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., Show at 1:00 p.m.
The Alex Theatre, 407 N Harrison St, Alexandria. Concessions available for purchase.

Alzheimer’s Support Group

Second Thursday of each month. 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Community Hospital Education Center, 1923 N Madison Ave, Anderson.

AARP Meeting

Second Monday of each month. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., meeting at 1:00 p.m.
Anderson First United Methodist Church, 1215 Jackson St, Anderson.

Millcreek Free Family Bingo

First Wednesday of each month. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., Bingo at 6:00 p.m.
Millcreek Civic Center, 403 W Main St, Chesterfield.
Essential Senior Connections will be hosting in April, July, Oct.

Alexandria YMCA Bingo

First Thursday of each month. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
The Hub, 800 N Central Ave, Alexandria. Anyone welcome, $5.00 entry.
Essential Senior Connections will be hosting in March, June, September, December.

LifeStream Program – A Matter of Balance
Location:  “The Hub,” 800 N. Central Avenue, Alexandria, IN 46001

A Matter of Balance:  Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.

Aging in Place – Home Safety Application

We want to help Madison County residents age in place safely! A few modifications could make your home easier and safer to live in as you live independently. Common needs for those aging in place may include, but not limited to installing grab bars, shower bars, improved lighting, etc. We have been blessed to receive a grant to help those who need a little help to make their home safer.
